7 months old. i can't believe it. at 7 months, mikey is sleeping over 10 hours a night, waking around 6 am to eat and going back to bed for another few hours. we usually get one more nap in the day where he's either in his swing or bed. then he just tries to sleep while he's eating. i miss him when he goes to bed at night. and i love going in to get him in the morning - he's so smiley. he much prefers sitting up now over laying on his back. he's started jirating and arching his back and it always tickles me. speaking of tickles - this is one ticklish boy. you can tickle him in the small of his back, along his side, on his feet, and lately i discovered the bottom of his thighs. his laugh is the best sound ever. he loves to sing with us during the hymns at church. he loves to mess up a piece of paper. he loves to grab at everything now. he loves to eat his toes and he loves when i kiss on his feet. he's started fighting getting his finger nails cut, which still continue to grow so fast to me. his hair is still pretty red, it still surprises people daily. his bald spot in the back is slowly disappearing. he loves when his daddy goes on bear hunts with him, or sits on the couch with him. he loves taking a tubby with daddy's help. he just plain loves his dad. he doesn't throw up nearly as often as he used to, although he still has his days. he LOVES looking at himself in a mirror or camera. he eats oatmeal and a fruit in the morning and mixed grains and a veggie for dinner. i make his baby food unless we're traveling. he's eaten: green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, rice cereal, oatmeal, apples, bananas, mixed grains. next up we're going to try: sweet potatoes, pears, and broccoli. he loves to eat solids, but still gets the most comfort out of nursing. nursing is one of my favorite things about having a baby - such sweet, peaceful mommy and baby time. he's wearing size 3 diapers. he's wearing 9 months clothes - but almost ready to start wearing 12 months clothes. we feel so blessed to have him in our life. mikey, i love you.
