an hour after i put him down, mikey woke up crying hysterically. i couldn't get him to calm down for over 10 minutes. finally, i walked through the house and when i got to my room, he quieted down. i walked out of my room, he started crying again, so we went back in...  i got back in my bed where i'd been reading and he snuggled like this for 20 minutes - it took him that long to calm down and breathe normal again. poor kid. i just put him back down and while i'm worried about what woke him up, i absolutely loved the snuggles...  21 monthers don't spend a lot of time snuggling in momma's arms!
