this morning, in connecticut there was a shooting an an elementary school where almost 30 people were killed, with 20 of them being small children. when i heard the news, i was broken hearted. i taught in a school for 9 years and we had drills for an intruder and i remember how scared i got just at the drills. i can not imagine the horror those people went through today and the sadness they now face. i cried and cried, and thankfully mikey just let me snuggle him. sometimes i look at him and just can't really imagine ever letting him out of my sight, let alone going to school all day without me, going on a mission for 2 years without me...  i know i need to let go and let him grow up, but it is hard to imagine right now. so sad, what a tragedy and waste of so many young, fresh lives.
