we took henry in for a weight check today. by the time we left the hospital, he had lost 11% of his birth weight, which on an 8 pound baby is almost a whole pound. born weighing, 8 lbs 7 oz - he left weighing 7 lbs 9 oz. they wanted us to wake him up every 2-3 hours and feed him. so i've been doing that over the weekend. as of today, he's back up to 7 lbs 15 ounces, which the doctor was pleased with. now, we don't have to wake him up during the night to feed! [i have to say, it hasn't been so bad - but i'm sure i will enjoy the longer sleep...] i adore this baby, he's pure delight.
